About

The UTD Longboard Club is a collection of students at the University of Texas at Dallas that share a passion for longboarding. We started the UTD Longboard Club in order to spread the stoke and teach as many people as possible. We constantly attend races in and outside of Texas as well as regularly skating the local DFW area.

Never touched a board before? No problem! We teach anyone that is interested. Many of our riders never touched any type of board till they joined us on Friday’s to learn. There is no better way to learn how to downhill in Dallas. We take each and everyone of our riders and make sure that their fundamentals are dialed in before taking them to the next level. We push you as hard as you want to be pushed, so you are never too far out of your comfort zone.

Want to perfect the art of looking snazzy? We have the perfect terrain for dialing in stand up slides and hands down slides. Want more arial tricks? We’ve got you covered there as well. You may have heard of Ethan Cochard (freeriding champion) He started his skills on the University of Texas at Dallas Campus.

Everyone gets their start into Downhilling and Freeriding from Cruising. Cruising is a great way to get from class to class and just by starting longboarding you get an extra +5 cool points. Cruising is great exercise and extremely relaxing. Start longboarding today!
